Message from the Librarian, Ms. Meg Booth

I am excited about being the librarian for half the day. When I am not in the library, I am teaching high school English and drama. I enjoy reading to the elementary and learning about elementary studentsí interestsónot to mention all their names!

This is my 17th year teaching at Genesee and my 30th year as a teacher. I have taught in Southern California where I grew up and at Clearwater Valley High School. I have always enjoyed going to school while I teach. I am currently earning my Masterís from the University of Idaho in Curriculum and Instruction. Many years ago I earned my undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Redlands. Last year I completed my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards re-certification in English Language Arts.

My children both graduated from Genesee and have finished college. As a family and individually, we enjoy activities in the mountains and on the rivers. I am sharing these loves with Tammy, the foreign exchange student from Thailand who lives with me and my two dogs. She is keeping busy with her schoolwork and sports and teaching me about her culture and her travels.

You can reach me by phone at Genesee School, (208) 285-1162, or by email at mbooth@sd282.org.
